Disney Magic Kingdoms Game

"Sometimes we need a little magic"

Have any of your heard of the game Disney Magic Kingdoms? It's a mobile app. Well it's kind of like Roller Coaster Tycoon, but instead of creating an amusement park you create none other than Disneyland.

I have been playing this game for quite a while now. When you start the park is under a curse from Maleficent. The point of the game is to open up new sections and cure the curse  You have to build, collect, create and accomplish tasks given to you. There are different events during holidays or Disney anniversaries. Right now they have a Beauty and the Beast event going on.

Each character you get to add needs leveled up. Leveling them up can take a while, but it is pretty easy. You make other characters do tasks to get the objects needed for leveling a different character up.

You get to place buildings around your park that are movie themed or just an attraction you may recognize from the iconic park. You can also click on customers and fulfill their happiness. Sometimes they can just go to a ride and become happy and other times you have to have a character do something for them to become happy.

Here are some screenshots of what the game looks like:

The loading screen caters to whatever event is happening at the time.

They have the castle at the end of Main Street.

There is an example of the way to build up your guest happiness.

As you build up your park and the game continues you can open new portals and sections to your park.
I'll be in Florida for spring break this week. I'm seeing an early screening of the new Beauty and the Beast movie this coming Thursday. I couldn't be more excited!! I also have some Disney related plans that day so there will be a new post for Friday!

Once Upon A Time Red's Untold Tale by Wendy Toliver- Part Two Book Series

"The hooded cloak was made of rich red fabric; a lovely brocade on the outside and lined in lush velvet." -Wendy Toliver

Attention all Once Upon A Time lovers. This is a book for you!! The book is called Once Upon A Time Red's Untold Tale .

In my opinion this book was amazing. It is about Red Riding Hood. More specifically it is about Red from the ABC TV show Once Upon A Time. By the way this show is for any Disney and/or fairy tale lover out there.

Red is a minor character in the show. This book gives more information on her background. The book adds so much detail to her background story. It describes how she lived in her town and what was happening in the town that may have lead to her destiny. We don't learn much in the show because she isn't a character that is focused on much.

I loved being able to read her side of the story. Even minor characters have stories and deserve to be talked about. Red's Untold Tale is a great book to learn more about one of your favorite characters. Even if you do not watch the show it would still be a really good book to read. It is very well written. Even the book itself is visually beautiful. It has a nice sleek black cover with the right amount of color within its design. The sides of the pages are also black making the book look very sophisticated.

There is another book by Wendy Toliver coming out in April about Regina from Once Upon A Time. I am beyond excited for it. I cannot wait to read it!

"My life was, has been a series of poorly timed moves for as long as I can remember. But something about this place has me pausing." -Lisa Maxwell

I have been reading some Disney inspired books lately. I decided to start a series of blog posts called Book Series. The books are not part of a series it's just individual books I have been reading.

So if you are a fan of Peter Pan you will probably like this book. It is a dark twisted tale about Neverland and the creatures living there. Hook and Peter Pan are characters in this book, but they are not the traditional characters Disney lovers have come to know.

This story is definitely darker than the Disney version of Peter Pan, but it still has details that are from the movie. As you read it, you can definitely catch the inspiration. The book centers attention around the main character and her mysterious life. I don't want to say too much without spoiling anything.

You get to know a little bit more about "hook" and Pan and how they became enemies. The story gives an awesome twist on their relationship. I also loved seeing their sides separately and the relationships they have gained throughout the story.

There are many books out there that seem to have similar stories to this one that I would love to read as well.

But I would definitely recommend this book to any Disney lovers out there or just anyone that likes a good book full of action and mysterious creatures. Next book post to come next week.

Know Who You Are...Moana Movie Review

https://goo.gl/jrY6AY

"See that line where the sea meets the sky, it calls me..." ~Moana

Moana...In my opinion was a great movie.

Don't worry this post won't include any spoilers.

I saw this movie the day it came out in theaters. I know this review is late...sorry. I just wanted to share my thoughts. So in honor of the DVD release being March 7th, here is my review.

I fell in the love with this movie when I saw it. The characters, the soundtrack, the animation. Everything in this movie was visually pleasing. The music was created by the amazing Lin-Manuel Miranda. the soundtrack is a great album to listen to when doing, anything! The lyrics and the beats make it a fun music choice for the day. The actors/singers voices are great as well.

Moana is a strong female character played by Auli'i Cravalho, who by the way is the perfect choice for this role. She looks just like the animated character and the company didn't even find her to voice the character until the animation was created. Moana lives life with an open mind. She shows her interest of the sea from when she was a little girl. She sets forth on her goals and doesn't stop until she accomplishes them. This is an important lesson for everyone all around the world. Set goals to accomplish in life, live out your dreams and create your journey the way you want it to be and be happy with who you are. I am not saying you should go about your goals the exact way she did *disobeying her parents*, but in a way you can do it without disrespecting those around you. This movie also shows that you can become friends with anyone even if it doesn't seem likely at the time.

So live life to the fullest and know who you are.

Let me know what you guys thought about this movie. Leave your comments below, I would love to hear from you!

Messing Around with Art

"To succeed, work hard, never give up and above all cherish a magnificent obsession." -Walt Disney

I have never been one to be good at art. My mom and my sister are great artists, but then you have me in the house who was good at drawing little stick figures and nothing else. I even had character books showing step by step and I still couldn't draw it. I would get so frustrated and give up. I just never got the artists touch.

Despite my artistic abilities, I got bored one day and went to you-tube. On you-tube I decided to look up "how to draw Mickey Mouse step-by-step". I then grabbed some paper, my pencil, and a huge eraser for my mistakes. I knew I would have lots of them. So I took my time and followed each step pausing the video as I went. It took me a long time, but he turned out pretty good. After I finished Mickey I decided to try other Disney characters. Then I discovered the "Disney Parks" you-tube had step-by-step videos for many different characters from the Disney animations studio. I got so excited, so for a week or so I got really into drawing all the different characters. None of them are perfect, but for me not really being able to draw, I like the way they turned out.

Moral of the story, never say never. Even if you think you can't do something, just put your mind to it and you can accomplish anything. If you concentrate and take your time you can do it. It takes lots of practice for things, but the outcome is worth all of the hard work.

Here are pictures of my artwork.

Just Keep Swimming...

"The best things happen by chance." -Finding Dory

Don't worry no spoilers!!
http://goo.gl/SsrkOf
I am a big fan of Pixar. I like all of the Pixar movies, but I have two favorites, Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. So when I found out there would be a sequel to Finding Nemo I was beyond excited. Of course I wasn't very patient with the years of waiting for it to come out. I mean come on I'm sure everyone was ready for it to be out already after all of the promos and advertisements for it. Now it is finally out and it is the big hype. It even broke records for opening weekend. I have seen it 3 times...oops. I saw it once with friends up at school in 2D, then came home and watched it in 3D (which was amazing), then the third time was at a drive in on my vacation in Tulsa, OK.

*Fun fact: I've only been to the drive in two times in my life, first time was to see Finding Nemo and second to see Finding Dory.*

I absolutely loved this movie. I think it is so cute and the story is great. It happens too often that the sequel isn't as good as the first, but I think this sequel is pretty darn close to being just as amazing. The new characters they introduce us to are so cute and funny. Each character has their own personality which helps you relate to them and understand their meaning in the story. We also get to see loads of old characters that we have loved since Finding Nemo. I loved the focus on Dory and her short term memory loss problem. The movie shows that even with a little set back you can overcome it. If you try your hardest and don't give up you can do whatever you dream and whatever your heart desires. Even though it may be hard sometimes push your limits and try everything you can to achieve your goals.

P.S. if you plan on seeing it in theaters stay until the very end, after the credits. There is a little scene you will enjoy.

New Beginnings...

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." -Walt Disney

http://goo.gl/EESlff
Here is a brief introduction of myself. My name is Brenna. I am a senior in college and have a dream of one day working with the Disney company. Disney is one of my biggest passions and if I ever got to work for them one day I would be the happiest person. I major in Public Relations. I have been a HUGE fan of Disney ever since I can remember. My grandparents live in Orlando so I have been to Disney World quite a few times. Anything and everything Disney, you name it, I  love it. I have a big Disney collection in my house and it continues to grow. I would love to visit all of the Disney parks at least once in my life. I have no shame for my love of Disney. In fact I am known as the Disney lover in my friend group. Everyone just accepts my love of Disney.

I originally created this blog as a class project. I decided I want to continue on writing posts for people who may like to read stuff like this. I want to write about anything related to Disney. About the parks, movies, books, anything you can think of, give suggestions if you would like. There is so much to write about and I want to share my passion with everyone on here that may be reading this blog.

I hope everyone enjoys my future posts and comments their opinions below. I would love to hear from everyone!
